Shaping Future Minds.

Pastor Shiraz Sharif Alam and his wife Romello Robinson in Gujranwala, Pakistan, open their hearts and personal resources to minister and support families in their community every day.

In his formal role at the Presbyterian Church of Pakistan, Pastor Sharaz works, preaches, and nurtures his congregation. He is paid for his work there, but he and Romello give everything they have back to the community but cannot meet the needs they see around them.

A nearby school is heavy on their hearts. It is partially supported by the church and Pastor Sharaz and Romello's personal funds. Fifty Christian and Muslim students are currently attending classes. They receive a secular education with biblical education classes for Christian students.

These students are from poverty-stricken families, some from single-parent households, and some orphaned. Since many of these children do not eat at home, the church is trying to provide food as often as possible. Pastor Sharaz said that the children and teachers are so grateful when they receive a meal in classrooms that it becomes a celebration.

They require ongoing donations to keep the school open, including teaching salaries, books, uniforms, and stationery. Over and above this need, Pastor Sharaz and his church need help providing transport and food to fill the children's bellies.

Sharaz in LHOHCFIn 2019 Pastor Sharaz had the opportunity to visit us in Canada, and gave us a few messages of hope to the congregation at Lighthouse of Hope Christian Fellowship.  He also became a member of the church at that same time.

Testimonials

Pastor Duke's church is amazing. They built the congregation from nothing and through donations from people like me he has been able to build a building for them to meet in. God bless you.
